I've been thinking about an easier way, rather than the batch file as this took to long, and thought about vLite, I will upload everything needed for a Vista Ultimate Slipstream, "Ultimate Extras", "PostSp2_10112011" as well as "Vista Ultimate Sound Schemes".
It includes Internet Explorer 9 and updates, as well as the directx 11
updates.
These are the updates that are included in the PostSp2_10112011. Vista Ultimate Sounds and Vista Ultimate Extras are seperate downloads.
vLite 1.2 and WIM Filter

Hi porthos
You could try http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/ as they have a program that will download all the latest updates for Win 7, I think you will have to get the latest definition file from http://www.msfn.org/ do a search for updatelists and you should find it. |

Unfortunately, http://www.megaupload.com is not accessible from Hong Kong (at least, not via my ISP PCCW)!!
Could someone share the files in another file hosting website like zShare? |

Even after applying these updates to an SP2 image, there still seems to be about 20 or so updates to download. Has been like this even a few weeks ago, so it's not any new updates for September or anything.
Is there any way to integrate an update pack and get virtually zero updates after a clean install? |

Alright, well thanks for all your effort thus far. These updates have brought me closer to having a fast Vista install and to avoid some ~70 windows updates after install. |

Darn. There isn't much happening in the world of Vista now on these forums. I've been working on making the "perfect" Vista installation disc and it's not an easy task.
I've managed to use vlite to integrate as many MSU updates as possible, and using Vista-Tool to integrate drivers, but there is still a few dotnet updates that can't be integrated using vlite.
There's probably a way of completing this task using WAIK, but since 64-bit Windows 7 does not support creating 32 bit images of Vista (for some reason), I can't really do this.
So I've figured out another way of completing the job using a SetupComplete script.
Basically, what you want to do is install WAIK for Vista (even if you're running 7).
Then use dism to mount the WIM image.
Then copy the installation files to the root of the image folder. EG: If you mounted your WIM image to C:\Image, copy your dotnet (and other) installations to C:\Image\*.
Unmount /commit the image.
Then you can create a SetupComplete.cmd file on your disc in the sources folder that calls the installers on %systemdrive%. (D:\sources\$OEM$\$$\Setup\Scripts\SetupComplete.cmd)
EG: Here's my SetupComplete.cmd script:
| Code: | start /wait %systemdrive%\dotnetfx35setup.exe /qb
start /wait %systemdrive%\NDP35SP1-KB958484-x86.exe /passive
start /wait %systemdrive%\NDP35SP1-KB963707-x86.exe /passive
start /wait %systemdrive%\windows-kb890830-v3.10.exe /quiet
del %systemdrive%\dotnetfx35setup.exe
del %systemdrive%\NDP35SP1-KB958484-x86.exe
del %systemdrive%\NDP35SP1-KB963707-x86.exe
del %systemdrive%\windows-kb890830-v3.10.exe |
This will install all the packages and then delete them.
I've had a little trouble getting dotnet4 to install, however. You might can add its installer to an autorun entry to get it to install when you first logon. |

horribly out of date so no point.
read around for newer options (instead of downloading everything you can possibly find) |
