Hey,
I'm not dead ! I have a new job and it's difficult for me, for make another things !
But I have a great news !
I made a new version of CréateurSFX : CréateurSFXv2.
Why "v2", because I change code at 80%, and radically change GUI and sfx system !
The new system is base on NSIS and not 7zip, for more advantage :
- Same compression lzma
- smaller sfx module
- better system for add options !
CréateurSFXv2 0.3.0.0 (28/02/2010) :
- Major GUI Changes
- Bug Fix with Drag and Drop in source !
- add advanced ouput file options
- add options for icons
- major code optimisations
- add support archive for source !
CréateurSFXv2 0.2.0.0 :
- add support for cmd/bat files
- Include NSIS
- minor Gui changes
- add saving Folder and exe
CréateurSFXv2 0.1.0.1 :
at changes :
- Requirement NSIS
- just make SFX file from exe/msi
- folder option with extract is not supported for the moment
- cmd/bat file is not supported for the moment
Improvment with CréateurSFX
- many GUI changes
- add recursive folder option : you can choose add or not file in subfolder
- improvment with installshiel setup.iss detection
- little bug fix with 0.1.0.0
Roadmap with next version 0.4 and next :
- add sfx folder option
- add sfx folder advanced options !
- modify GUI
It's the major todo for next release, if you have suggestion and other, please post it !

| Thanks, this is great! May I suggest that you add the ability to choose the directory that will be extracted to. Also, I have a little trouble choosing the file name for the SFX. It would be nice if you could type in the file name and then pick the directory where it will be created (and maybe remember this choice). |

For files in SFX ? It's impossible for the moment with 7zip, it's not possible to choose the path to extract !

Could You add support for Instyler Ex-it! installer (example:Two-way English-Polish dictionary for Microsoft Office 2003 used it) The program informs: " Sorry, unknown installer". I watched this instalator.It showed that installer had been basing on the file of MSI. When I showed on the proper file Msi , CreateurSFX creates correctly 7zip-SFX file (Switch:/ qb)
Can you add the support for this type setup?

I know, Universal Extractor 1.3.1 doesn't even help |

I search in Universal Extractor, and when it's not found the id, it's test extract with 7zip !
But with Universal Extractor, I have found another "Exe" file and add it !!! |

@dziubek not all installers support switches, thats were autoit install scripts comes in...
Try putting this in the same folder as Setup.exe and point the SFX Creator to this file as the installer (first uninstall the app and leave the switch area blank) http://www.mytempdir.com/1014620
Maybe someone with better autoit skills can make one that hides the ugly windows, I dont know how
