|
|
What's New
Version 2.1.9- Added KB920867 Hotfix. Replaces KB890859 Hotfix.
- Added KB923293 Hotfix.
- Added KB925902 Hotfix. Replaces KB922859 Hotfix.
- Added KB930178 Hotfix.
- Added KB931192 Hotfix. Replaces KB929624 Hotfix.
- Added KB931261 Hotfix.
- Added KB931784 Hotfix. Replaces KB929338 Hotfix.
- Added KB932168 Hotfix.
- Added KB932662 Hotfix.
- Added KB935448 Hotfix. Replaces KB928843 Hotfix.
- Fixed MSXML6 SP1 issue which caused .NET Framework 3.0 (and related products) installation failures.
- Updated Malicious Software Removal Tool to version 1.28.
For the love of God, read the nLite or Integrator directions for how to properly integrate this pack.
Notes- nLite 1.3 or RyanVM Integrator 1.4.3 is required to properly integrate this release.
- If you used nLite to integrate the pack and are having problems, PLEASE read this thread before reporting problems.
Download Here
Or From My BitTorrent Tracker
Known Issues- High Definition Audio isn't working right for some people. As a workaround, replace the two hdaudio INFs with the ones from the September Update Pack (or directly extracted from KB888111).
- Yes, setuperr.log whines about plugin.ocx being missing. This is completely intended behavior and is nothing to worry about. I'll update the FAQ with a more detailed explanation later.
If you do run into anything you think is an error, be sure to consult with the FAQ on my site before asking about it here. _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

Honestly, you can't say didn't you any warning. It'll be available for direct download next week. _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

It sure would be great that instead of offering it by torrent, which is impossible for me to use from work (which is where I need the updatepack) that you would instead allow authorized mirrors. I can't be the only person not on shared hosting that has bandwidth available for you.
Sucks for people like me, but I guess we'll all live. |

Ryan posted this before, the torrents are meant to bear the brunt of the dl flood for all the early-adopters. After about a week or two, he may put the dl link back on the main site. This was to prevent people from bringing down the whole site with an obscene amount of dl requests.
You shouldn't have to wait that long. Besides, a few other public download sites routinely mirror the main update pack after a few days (Major Geeks, Softpedia, etc.) |

Sucks for people like me, but I guess we'll all live. | Geez, how impatient are you that you can't wait a few days?
This isn't a bandwidth issue. I have a ~5.5TB/month quota that I don't come anywhere near hitting (I usually wind up around 1.2TB in a given month). The issue is from individuals sending ridiculous numbers of requests at the server which in effect DoS's it (not to mention anybody else on that server, much to Dreamhost's amusement). You might remember back in the day that I attempted to launch a download script which automatically distributed the load across various mirrors, but that proved to be more unstable than I would have thought and that project pretty much stagnated after that. If there's any PHP gods around here who want to try to revive that project, feel free to shoot me a PM.
I know the situation sucks, and I'm not overly thrilled with it myself. But if I have to weigh having my account potentially terminated vs. inconveniencing a few people by making them *gasp* wait a couple days, I choose the latter.
BTW, even though I never really authorized MajorGeeks to mirror my work, I know they do and I really don't care because I consider them to be a trusted site. _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

90% of torrent blocks at corporate firewalls can be circumvented if you use a "smarter" torrent client like utorrent and use a common port like 80 to seed/leech. You will most likely get a crippled connection, but it will be functional enough to get the files you need. |

For future releases are we allowed to download using the bit torrent and then upload it to say filefront or something for other people?
I love this new update pack. Great work. |

No, that falls under the rules on my site: | Quote: | | While I appreciate all the interest my work has generated, I'm politely requesting that if you want to tell others about it, please link to this site rather than directly to the files. These links are prone to change in the future, and this is the only location that will have links guaranteed to work. Also, please do not modify and/or redistribute any of the files on this site without first getting my consent to do so. | For what it's worth, I'll probably put the direct link up some time tonight or tomorrow morning. After 5500 downloads (so far!), I hope it's safe to say that the initial rush is over _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

| Ah, Well it also says you can do it with your consent. I bet macromedia waited for you to release the pack, then updated flash. |

Direct download is up now. Thanks very much to the over 7000 of you who got it via BitTorrent and to all of you who seeded for any length of time! To say that releasing first to BT was anything but a success would be a lie . _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

I can't log download stats on the direct link at the moment. Just keep trying on the direct link and you'll get through eventually. I'm going to contact my host because I think they're still artificially limiting the number of allowed simultaneous requests due to past problems. _________________ Get up to $200 off on hosting from the same people who host this website!

Otherwise, Microsoft is not responsible and is very likely not going to fix the problem on their end despite what those self-righteous people say "waiting until M$ did something to undo the damage they did". |

It has to be your method of modding! I am using 2.1.9 and xpize plus xpize darkside since the release on several pc's and no issues here. _________________

| Many thanks, the 2.19 installs and works flawlessly; as for all the impatient people, I downloaded my copy using utorrent at RyanVM Torrents without issue the day he released it; I now download all of his programs via his Torrent page, and have for 2 months now. |
