|
|
For x86 only, tested on xp pro x86 only.
Includes .net 1.1 sp1, 2 sp2, 3 sp2, and 3.5 sp1 all patches applied.
Download: DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.4.7z
MD5= D521F5F64D36D5B68728D44C849815FD
Size= 65mb approx
Note: Installing this addon during svcpack causes two errors in event viewer. I don't know how important they are because the installation completes successfully.
| Code: | Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 -- Error 2004.Method SHGetFolderPath failed. HRESULT: 0x80004005.
and
Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 -- Error 2004.Method GetFontCacheDataFolder failed. HRESULT: 0x80004005. |
No more standalone switchless. Unpack and use internal switchless.
Use RVMI or Nlite to apply, Windows Installer 3.1 or above required to install Net 3.5. Its included in Ryan's pack as well as other packs.
Changelog:
29/01/09:Added KB959209 without applying msp's to msi's, so windows update could detect it.
27/12/08:Added KB959209
13/08/08:Discontinued standalone switchless, removed nonno fabio's registry entries(no longer required). Rebuild from scratch with 3.5sp1 full installer.
30/03/2008: Added nonno fabio's registry entries to prevent KB932471 being displayed in windows update. Log files are now deleted after installation of svcpack addon.
Enjoy.

Which one did you use?
dotnetfxAIO.exe can't be used in svcpack. It's for install in windows.
DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.7z does work in svcpack. With my tests on VM. |

Thank you for this!
I just wonder, I once slipstreamed a silent installer .net all-in-one via nlite (added as an update), it went through, after windows install it showed all .net versions in add/remove programs, it looked fine.
But, every new update for .net would fail install via windows update...
and since very recently everyone keep saying that svcpack is not possible for .net...So, now I'm not sure if this is really works properly.
As an experiment, one could create all-in-one pack using your method, but without lattest updates and see if windows update would work (I'd do it if I'd knew how to..) |

Hi all first post here,
nice installer u got there, only thing the progress bar doesnt work for 3.0 , like ryans aio
I just finish my version, it installs 1.1 2, 3 and 3.5 with all updates and service packs, and I did my own custom progress bar that works, I also took all the crap for 64 so I just made it x86 and english only so that took lots of MBs out, going to do some more tests now, If you guys insterested I could upload.
since it is a quiet install it only shows a progress bar like this:

| The second progress bar is from Microsofts own net 3.5 setup.exe using qb switch, which installs 2 sp1, 3 sp1, 3.5 with same bar. |

hi, hmm yeah, I am having a lil problem
I can't get a good compres ratio, my installer gets from 152 MB to about 80, on a one gig ram pc I have, maybe I need more RAM, it should go way smaller in size
jd976s installer goes from 233 MB to 46.9, oviously I am doing something wrong, other than that my installer works perfect, even from svcpack, because i made a small c++ hack that doesnt break the webClient service, only thing is it has to be run at the end of svcpack.inf, first 35 then 1.1
I have tryed with 7zip and upx no less than 80
edit: also changed the progressbar to a simple .hta app, now u can custom it to your needs using simple html, and vb script. I am not uploading it to my server as big as it is right now |

| Can someone explain and/or give a hint how to fix this: using DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.7z in nLite will not allow create new user in OOBE (OOBE starts, but user creation being skipped). User creation works fine when DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.7z not used |

| I have no issues create a new account once I logged on as administrator, the issue is that creating new user account supposed to be BEFORE you logon for the first time, basicaly you should endup with two admin accounts: Administrator (default) and Your_New_User you created in OOBE, the default administrator account will not be visible at logon screen. This issue also might be a problem if you have a registry tweaks that run as runonce, they will apply to the Administrator account. |

I do this using cmdlines.txt under $OEM$ folder
| Code: |
[COMMANDS]
"useraccounts.cmd"
|
It runs at T-12 before first login, it does almost the same thing as OOBE, if you dont put a password u will login as the account created by the .cmd files and Administrator account won't be visible
I put my registry tweaks under cmd lines for hkcu and my reg tweaks for hklm under runonce at first login, in this case i have 2 reg files:
hkcu.reg under $OEM$ folder with useraccounts.cmd and cmdlines.txt:
| Code: |
[COMMANDS]
"REGEDIT /S hkcu.reg"
"useraccounts.cmd"
|
and hklm.reg under $OEM$\$1\Software that is run by a .cmd file at first login:
| Code: |
net user aspnet /delete
REGEDIT /S %systemdrive%\Software\hklm.reg
|

| Well, its not what I'm after...I need create "custom" user before windows starts. For example when I test windows on virtual PC, I prefer create different user name then on host pc, with your method, I'll have to create two different CD for host and virtual... |

| I edit the post, and why do u need to create a diff user for a virtual pc than ur final cd? if u wanted to do that u could maybe edit the cmd file to check the computer name with an if statement, if it is a virtual pc prompt to create a dif user? |

virtual pc was just an example, having more then one computer in household could be another example. Creating same username on different computers could cause some problems on the network (shares access).
Anyway, I'm trying find where is the problem, how to fix it and not work around it
Thanks for the ideas though |

I forgot to mention, I used as an update addon in nLite.
[EDIT]
just tested it without nlite and it indeed worked fine...
also, tryed integrate it with RVM integrator and then used nlite to complete the tweaks and OOBE skiped user creation...so, maybe someone can give a hint how to use nlite with this addon and OOBE user creation?
Thanks. |

| I tested it by using RyanVM Integrator 1.5 beta to integrate RVMUpdatePack2.1.11 and code65536's RUPUpdates-2.1.11.13 addon, then used nlite for various addons including DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2, and nothing else (no tweaks). I apply my tweaks with a custom inf file addon in nlite or Integrator, nlite during these tests. |

After I use nlite to integate DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.7z to windows xp, there has a problem.
The problem is that when I use windows update, it shows that it still has a hotfix for .NET 3.0 (KB932471) for me to install, but when i choose to install this hotfix, it shows that install fail, i try to reboot and install again but the problem still happen, so i want to know how to solve it?
Is that you haven't integate this hotfix into the DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2.7z???
Thankyou |

There's no need for KB932471 because 3.0 SP1 includes it.
Try this workaround: create a text file and paste this code (kindly submitted by Kontini)
| Code: | Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows Presentation Foundation\KB932471]
"Installed"=dword:00000001
"AppliedToSP"="R3"
"InstalledDate"="08/11/2007"
"InstallerVersion"="3.01"
"PublishingGroup"="Developer Division Customer Product-lifecycle Experience"
"Publisher"="Microsoft Corporation"
"PackageVersion"="1"
"PackageName"="Hotfix for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (KB932471)"
"ReleaseType"="Hotfix"
"Type"="Update"
"InstalledBy"="kontini"
"Description"="This Hotfix is for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0. \\n
If you later install a more recent service pack, this Hotfix will be uninstalled automatically. \\n
For more information, visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932471"
|
Save it as KB932471.reg and run it (or add code in your silent regtweaks for unattended installations): WU would ask for it no more _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

KB932471 doesn't show up with rc sp3, so I won't change the installers.
| kontini wrote: | | I have a question: You know if is the WebClient issue solved? |
I never had the webclient issue. The svcpack compatible addon does have a regtweak that should prevent it.

Whats the tweak?

Its the final version of 3.5.
This page only updated the express installer on 1/11/2008. The redistributable package has the same md5 as the one released in late November. |

i have a question about this which hopefully someone would be able to answer for me.
my windows cd already has a 39mb folder named DOTNETFX, which from what i understand contains dot net 1.1
i would like to use this 3.5 all in one here, but i'm wondering what i should do with this DOTNETFX folder..
should i delete it? should i leave it alone? is there any pros or cons to keeping it or removing it? if anyone has some suggestions/opinions please let me know
thanks |

Hi Guys, I downlaoded this dotnetfxAIO.exe thinking I read it was to install on any machine running XP (now I can't see where I read that bit) double clicked to run and got a message can't install already running an older version (it is has 1 2 and 3) dissapointed I clicked OK and walked away from PC came back a few mins later to see it was installing ?
Seems to have install correctly shows up at having 1 2 3.5 and sp packs
Test PC was XP Pro with SP3 (3264) installed |

Installed perfectly in VirtualBox and Real install.
All appear to be installed correctly within Control Panel
But it is showing 3.0 SP1 KB929300 in windows update stating it should be 25.9 mb but in fact it only dl 0.9 mb, then no further problem.
