You are right, Real Alternative codecs are included into K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, but into full package is not.
QuickTime Alternative is not included into full or mega pack.

I'm not asking about compatibilty of the packages themselves (32 bit codecs and software work 100% in XP x64), I'm asking about compatibility of the silent installers offered here.

I've tried to integrate your packs with nLite. I guess I'm doing something wrong because I'm getting errors.

How should I integrate these SFX files?

it would be helpful if you listed the errors (or took screenshots) and also described your method you used in trying to integrate.

nLite can't integrate .exe as addons without an entries.ini, which tells nLite or RMVI to edit svcpack.inf so the setup is executed during install. So nLite thinks you're trying to integrate a MS hotfix.

RVMI can be used to specify the .exe as an addon, and it will automatically make the necessary changes to svcpack.inf and copy the exe to the svcpack folder.

Just use RVMI. It doesn't install any gunk on your system if that is what you are concerned about.

Thanks redxii and vmanda Very Happy

I've never been able to figure out what to integrate with RVMI and what with nLite. This has been really helpfull.

For now I'll use RVMI; my 'skills' have just reached this point Razz

However, I will study on and try vmanda's guide and tool later on.

Thanks again for the help!

I see they've really been keeping you busy.... in between 4.7 and 4.75 there were 2 update files, just as well you didn't go and make ones with integrated.

oh no they've do it again...... Crying or Very sad

An update is available for version 4.7.5 of the codec pack that upgrades it to version 4.7.6. The update pack includes a newer version of ffdshow. This update fixes a problem that could cause a crash in WMP and Media Center.

meh ... I would not worry about it ccl0. It is easy enough to remake this using their installer. Takes maybe 5 minutes? Yes there may be lots of updates to this, but the installer does not take long to remake.
