Onepiece's DX Universal UpdatePack/Addon Creator - GUI version
DXUPAC
Update (May 15 2013)
Update (May 15 2013)
Update (May 15 2013)
Update (May 15 2013)
Hash MD5 A696CC1DAF0F99645C1071DC5BCF9956
Filesize: 4,06 MB (4257936 byte)
This tool allows you to create a localized UpdatePack or Addon, simply following these steps:
Place in a folder (source folder) the complete source already updated with the latest Service Pack and exactly all the hotfix installers and additional components listed in Onepiece's AIO UpdatePack topics (for XP and 2003 UpdatePacks) or the setup file and all the eventually needed hotfix installers (for Addons). See the example here for additional tips (yep, I know it's old but it gives you an idea ot how it works)
If you are creating UpdatePacks, you need add in source folder the following addons:
netfx 3.5 gdr addon
netfx 4.0 gdr addon
Starting from June release you must also add this addon in source folder
in place of install_flash_player_ax.exe file, because Flash installer doesn't support anymore 7-Zip.
Run DXUPAC.exe with the needed settings and the path of source folder.
When finished, you get your own localized addon/pack in 7z format.
Only for Unicode language XP users (like ARA, CHS, CHT, ELL, HEB, JPN, KOR, RUS): you should update manually the TimeZone Hotfix lines as DXUPAC is not able to to take out lines in local language so they are created in English. You need to extract latest TimeZone KB (you find them under [TZ_KBLAST.AddReg]) and update all lines from Argentina_Display=* to Yakutsk_Display in Strings section.
Universal Creator can also integrate Service Pack 3 inside XP MCE 2005. Follow these steps (some screen are from italian XP but they are easily comprehensible):
Or
After slipstreaming of Service Pack 3 in MCE sources, integration of Onepiece's XP postSP3 AIO UpdatePack is strongly suggested.
When done, you can also add the XPMediaCenter specific hotfixes by integrating them at T-13: here you can find Update Rollup 2 Runonceex Addon and here you can find a step-by-step guide, in italian but with screenshots)
Thanks to Yumeyao for his suggestions.
Please be tolerant if something is not enough clearly stated. It's easy to run but complicated to explain: I'll try to improve it. _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

Here are the supported programs/OS
latest Windows XP AIO Update Pack INTL
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6438&start=0
You must use a Win XP SP3 clean source and the hotfixes and additional components listed in Onepiece's XP postSP3 UpdatePack topic.
latest Windows Server 2003 AIO Update Pack INTL
http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5591&start=0
You must use a Win 2003 SP2 clean source and the hotfixes and additional components listed in Onepiece's w2k3 postSP2 UpdatePack topic.
Internet Explorer 7-8 True or SvcPack or RunOnceEx AddOn INTL
Windows Media Player 11 True AddOn INTL
DirectX True AddOn INTL
Silverlight True or SvcPack or RunOnceEx AddOn INTL
CCleaner - INTL True Mode (Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 only)
You must rename ccsetup*.exe file in ccsetup.exe or in CCleaner_Setup.exe
Sun xVM VirtualBox x86&x64 - INTL Svcpack Mode
You must rename VirtualBox*.exe file in VirtualBox.exe or in VirtualBox_Setup.exe, then run Creator and input the directory where VirtualBox.exe or VirtualBox_Setup.exe is stored.
Windows Defender - INTL RunOnceEX Mode
Run Creator and input the directory where WindowsDefender.msi is stored: Creator uses wget.exe so if you're online it verifies if the definitions file (mpas-fe.exe) you've placed inside source folder along with WindowsDefender.msi is the latest one. If not, it will download the new one before starting to build the addon.

You must rename AdbeRdr*.exe file in AdbeRdr.exe or in AdbeRdr_Setup.exe, then run Creator and input the directory where AdbeRdr.exe or AdbeRdr_Setup.exe is stored: Creator uses wget.exe so if you're online it verifies if Reader Updates (AdbeRdrUpd912_all_incr.msp, AdbeRdrUpd913_all_incr.msp, etc. ) you've placed inside source folder along with WindowsDefender.msi are the latest one. If not, it will download the new one before starting to build the addon.
Foxit Reader - ITA & ENU Svcpack Mode
.net 1.1 true addon localization
needs Onepiece's .net. 1.1 en-us true addon and .net 1.1 language pack in your language

and more... _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

Hi.
I was looking for a way to create my own UpdatePack. I think this did the job.
What I did was put the last 28 Critical Updates for a Post-SP3 PC in a folder. Then created a DXUPACFG.INI file that just had
| Code: | [DXUPACFG]
LANGUAGE=English |
Then I ran the program on that directory. It looks like it created an updatepack with those KB files.
I didn't put the actual SP3 exe in there at all. Was this correct? |

updated: fixed a wrong variable in entries.ini.
If you create a localized UpdatePack, please verify that all lines of pack .inf file (OPMWXPUP.inf or OPW2K3UP.inf) are correctly translated.
There could be some issues with Unicode languages: if so, please extract the timezone update hotfix (WindowsXP-KB974176-x86-XXX) and PM me the update.inf file you'll find inside _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

Since the very first tools OnePiece made for other langgroups I used them to
create French addons for IE8 and WMP11. (I also use them in English)
The new universal addon creator let me succesfully make the French IE8_addon
but the WMP11_addon only contains all hotfixes without the player itself.
I tested the English version to see if I did something wrong and noticed that
in the French temp folder WMP11 is not present like in the English.
I also tried to manually add it to the temp folder but without effect.
Anyway I wish to thank you both OnePiece and nonno fabio for your work. |

Hi there,
I just signed up because I could not get this baby to work - I suppose I use 1.0.3 (judging from the thread's title).
I am trying to create a package for IE8, Hungarian that I can use with RVMi to slipstream into the disk image.
This is my directory layout:
| Code: |
c:\TMP\Ie81-tmp\DXUPAC.INI
c:\TMP\Ie81-tmp\ie8-windowsxp-kb973874-x86-hun.exe
c:\TMP\Ie81-tmp\ie8-windowsxp-kb974455-x86-hun.exe
c:\TMP\Ie81-tmp\ie8-windowsxp-x86-hun.exe
|
This is the content of DXUPAC.INI (copied from the template above):
| Code: |
LANGNAME=Hungarian
LANGType=HUN
LANGLocal=HU
Lang_IdHex=40e
MCDirectory=hu-HU
MCLangIdHex=040e
WUA_LOCAL=hu
UPWSEDIR=1038
UPALCID1=s240e
UPALCID2=s340e
TSUMUI_LCID=709
|
I extract RUN_Automatic_AIO_Own_AddOn_Creator_INTL.exe to a temporary directory and run it.
I give this as input dir: c:\TMP\Ie81-tmp
After I while, I get a message that my package has been successfully created.
Except, I do not find anything anywhere.
It seems that it is not created - on the other hand, I do not get any errors, either.
I tried saving DXUPAC.INI as unicode text, but I got the same results.
What am I doing wrong?
The machine I am using has ENU locale, can that interfere?
Any hints/tips?
Thank you. |

If you want a post SP2 update pack for XP, use this one:
http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack-sp2.html
It's slightly out of date though, but you can add the remaining hotfixes with nLite. _________________ Request your Switchless Installer or Addon | How to create an Avast SFX |

I guess KB931768 is obsolete. Try again verifying that there's nothing else than ie7setup.exe and the needed hotfixes in the selected directory. Verify also that you choose the right settings (Program "internet explorer 7"; OS version "windows server 2003").
When done, integrate it again with nothing else on a clean W2k3 SP2 source, using RVMi 161b21.
If you use W2k3 postSP2 AIO pack (which includes IE8) you must run 2 different RVMi sessions before making the .iso _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

omitted KB931768 and ie7 addon rebuilt
integrated on a clean W2k3 SP2 source (with nothing else)
same result (during setup file copying it gives message for iertutil.mui, ieud**.mui, jscript.mui and vbscript.mui as missing files)
cd works fine when i dont integrate ie7 addon |

Is there any chance you can make Nonno Fabio and OnePiece Update Pack/AddOn Creator INTL into a Final?
My needs for this: Ability to Shift-click different files in a folder to make an AIO Silent Installer with updates (EG: WMP9 + Updates).
Thanks for this very good work.

Nonno fabio - thanks for the reply! I double-checked the inf entries and did find some problems that seemed to stem from a long string value. The source was clean when I copied, the target was clean after I pasted. I checked the contents of the inf/in_ before burning ISO and still found corruption. I corrected the contents of the inf before burning.
With all this it still didn't work for new users. AFter install, I tested with reg entries for disabling the RunOnce wizard. I opened IE7 multiple times, each time closing IE before completing the wizard. It would return to the default MS runonce location. I verified the ie.inf in c:\windows\inf was the same as the install source. I found the following line in the ie.inf
HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}","StubPath",0x00020000,"rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection IE.inf,PerUser.Goo"
I then attempted to run the "rundll32.exe...." from above at the command line and it properly configured my IE7 environment. Maybe some problem in active setup? |

PerUser.Goo runs only once at first logon after setup then it is completely deleted:
| Code: |
[PerUser.Goo]
RunPreSetupCommands = IE7_ProcessesToRun:1
AddReg = Base.IE.AddReg, IE.Tweaks.AddReg
DelReg = IE.Install.Reg.PerUser.CleanUp, IE.Tweaks.DelReg |
[IE.Install.Reg.PerUser.CleanUp]
HKCU,"Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
HKLM,"Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
HKU,".DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
HKU,"S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
HKU,"S-1-5-19\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
HKU,"S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\>{X9B49E34-C7CC-11D0-8953-00A0C90347FF}"
In this way it wouldn't cause issues during new accounts creation as the command is no more in registry. After first logon you need admin rights to do such modifications, otherwise you'll get an ie.inf error.
So to prevent this, PerUserGoo commands run only a time then disappear. _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead

SvcPack and RunOnceEx addons are not called as OnePiece addons, are Nonno Fabio addons (that was a draft Nonno Fabio Italian community years ago) but I recently updated, for this reason all those addons are in the Tool AIO

| Can this be used to make a post sp3 pack that is just like onepiece's post sp3 pack, but with WMP10 instead of 11? MCE2005 must have WMP10 and not 11 to install KB900325. Unfortunately, the SP3 integration downgrades WMP to version 9. |

Hi,
I have problems with this program, I want to make IE8 and post-SP3-updates AddOns but it fails. Both are czech versions and selected RealAddOn (direct integration) options. Both fails at packing, I let it working about 5 hours and it still didn't finished.
Any solutions? |

With newer build of DXUPAC you can build a Silverlight 5 True Addon for Windows 2000 SP4! Download it from http://voidseesaw.com/onepiece/ _________________ Don't ask for a different configuration of Onepiece's XP AIO Update Pack: use one of the existing vanilla XP UpdatePack with your preferred addons instead
