Onepiece's Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 TRUE Addon for Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows 7 32bit

OnePiece Microsoft.NET Framework v4.0.30319.1030 True AddOn ENU
Update (12 November 2014)
Update (12 November 2014)
Update (12 November 2014)

Update (12 November 2014)
Hash MD5 AAB848507C9BCBEBF6CB4104273C7193
Filesize: 42.16 MB (44211418 bytes)

The peculiarity of this addon is that .NET framework is directly slipstreamed into your XP/2003/Seven* x32 source, without the need of running .msi files or svcpack/runonce installations, a "true addon" integration just like .net 1.0 in Windows Server 2003.
So you'll get a working .NET framework already installed BEFORE T-13 (svcpack time), a very handy opportunity.

*For integrating addons in Windows 7 images you need DX WNT6.x True Integrator

.Net 4.0 can be unistalled from Windows Component Wizard:

After install you can also modify default options or force .net removal by typing one of these command in a Run window:
Code:
RUNDLL32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection NETFX40.inf,NETFX40.SHOW

Code:
RUNDLL32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection NETFX40.inf,NETFX40.HIDE

Code:
RUNDLL32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection NETFX40.inf,NETFX40.CleanUp

NETFX40.SHOW: shows DotNet in Windows Component Wizard (default)
NETFX40.HIDE: hides DotNet in Windows Component Wizard
NETFX40.CleanUp: executes a forced cleanup of DotNet Setup from Windows registry so you can reinstall Dotnet again from a common installer file.

If you use Onepiece's XP postSP3 AIO Update Pack or W2k3 postSP2 AIO Update Pack you don't need this addon because it is already included

Something in this addon and the other "true" .net 3.5 AIO addon is causing lots of event viewer errors. System errors, asp.net errors, etc.
There's also a long pause (delay) after last boot, but before ROE executes.
These addons are excellent, but they still need some work to eliminate the errors.

Usually .net and its utilities write many errors, even after using .net standard msi installer on a live system: if you compare Ngen_log file from an updated XP and a live Win7, they are full of same errors. In %userprofile% you'll find .net setup logs - here is the clean one of a standard XP post SP3 aio pack installation: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9740/cattura2r.png - (aspnet logs have been keeped in true addons to verify, E.G., if any third party apps fail to install or else) but even these errors can be ignored if installation terminate successfully.

About the delay, we have seen nothing particular in many tests.

thanks.

Thank you for another usefull addon. Do I have to also add ".net 3.5 SP1 true addon" or this addon includes it?

You're welcome!
.net 4.0 is independant from other .net frameworks so you must also add .net 3.5 if you need both.

These are not troubles with this addon but simply a failed integration.

Framedyn/srclient errors are really old and well-known: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/faq.html

Retry on a clean XP source.

I also integrated some addons and .Net Framework 4.0 (using nLite) and after the installation of Windows, I had the same errors and furthermore neither internet explorer nor windows media player were installed (integrated). It seemed that something had ruined all the integrations. BUT all went right when i used RVM Integrator for all integrations. Everything was intergrated successfully and without any errors after Windows installation. So try RVM Integrator I don't know why, but you won't have any problem. As for the time zone problem, RVM Integrator solved it too.

this addon is FULLY compatible with Nlite and RVMi.
Nlite and Integrator uses the same way to handle netfx40.cab and netfx40.in_ files, so there will be no reason for a different behavior.

However just tried (in a Win7x64 machine) an integration with Nlite on a untouched XP SP3 source, then installed on a VM: absolutely no kind of problems as usual.

I'm sorry if Nlite doesn't work on your side but since your issue is not reproductable on a clean XP source, there's nothing we can do

Don't worry nonno fabio, we don't blame you. I just make an assumption because in my case the usage of RVMi solved my problems and i wanted to share my experience with AndreyPopov, who had the same problems. Maybe the compination of my addons (internet explorer 8, windows media player 11, framework 1.1, framework 3.5 and framework 4.0) or the OS on which i tested using a VM (Windows XP SP3 x86) caused all the messing up. Once again I would like to thank you for all of your usefull addons. Keep on! Very Happy

No problem at all, thanks.
The combination you've used is not so strange: you could retry a new test integration in a untouched XP source using Nlite but with default options (no tweaks, no components removal, etc.).

I try again twice - integrate ONLY .Net 4.0 addon into XP SP3 NO other modifications!

on Win7x64 mashine:
MS Virtual PC 2007
Sun VirtualBox

if integrate by nLite - recieved error after installation
if integrate by RVMI - all OK

repeat once again - .Net 1.1 addon and .Net 2.0-3.0-3.5 addon integrated by nLite correctly, silverlight 4.0 also.

P.S. nLite 1.4.9.1!!! may be nonno fabio use other version?

P.S.P.S. I use XP source original XP SP1 corporate with integrating SP3
may problem in edition of XP or any other?

I've used Nlite 1.4.9.1

Maybe, if you have originally slipstreamed SP3 on SP1 under Win7:
What Not to Do with XP SP3 RTM: Slipstream It on Windows Vista
Or on Windows Server 2008 (or in Windows 7...):

I made SP3 slipstream some years ago under XP and use already slipstreamed source. not slipstream each time. and VLK keys accepted normaly!!!

RVMI correctly integrate .Net 4.0 addon, nLite give error after installation.

I have been integrating with nlite for a good year or so now, using all of your .net's with absolutely no errors.

I can also confirm on a CLEAN XP SP3 source that I get the same errors that were previously mentioned.

Removing .net 4.0 and I am back to working normal.

Can't be coincidence that all of us are getting the same errors...

Updated.
Now .net 4 can be uninstalled from WCW and future .net updates would installs smoother

Same error here as SilentGem reported. And if I try searching in the Add/Remove Windows Components, I get the following error:

Setup was uable to open information file netfx40.inf.

Contact your system administrator. This specific error code is 0xe0000100 at line 0.

Also it says

The application could not be initialized

after that.

All these issues are not related to .net addon.
First one is the old good Framedyn/srcclient error: everyone knows that it's related to a failed integration. From Ryavmn.net faqs
Quote:
I get errors involving "framedyn.dll" after integrating your SP2 update pack.
This problem is caused by a failed integration of the Update Pack. Try re-downloading the Update Pack archive and starting over with a fresh XP SP3 source without any addons and see if the problem goes away
.

About the others, netfx40.inf must be inside %windir%\inf folder. Retry the addon integration with RVMi on a untouched XP SP3 source with nothing else and test the resulting .iso on a VM. It will work. This will mean that something else breaks the installation, so you can exclude it with a step-by-step integration

I used another addon and now everything works fine.

It must not have been any of my other addons. I used QFE update pack, this addon, .net 2-.3.5 ROE, and onepiece IE8. I tried around 3 images and they all failed with these errors.

I used a .net 4 ROE and now everything works fine.

I agree with AndreyPopov. Without net 4.0 everything is just fine, and I'm integrating about 8-10 addons with nlite. The same thing happens (framedyn.dll error) also if I integrate only a bare minimum of addons and net 4.0. Sad

So please mention in the first post that this addon MUSTN'T be used with nLite.

No reason to mention so.
Just tried to integrate the addon on an untouched XP SP3 source using Nlite and nothing else (no removals or other addons) and everything works flawlessly... Have you tried in this way?

what are you mean "clean"?

three years ago WinXP SP1 Corp with integrating SP3.

all others addons integrating by nLite without problems, also your addons .Net 1.1, .Net 2.0+3.0+3.5 and Silverlight and some others.

whole three years nLite integrate this source without problems.

I try integrate ONLY your .Net 4.0 addon and recieve error.

RVMI integrate without error even after nLite already integrate drivers and some addons.

"clean" means new, untouched by previous integrations or mods.

Anyway, try the new release: setup has been improved

GDR has nothing to do with your personal issue with Nlite.
Making first clear that .net addons have the same identical .infs & .cabs (same MD5) as the ones included in Onepiece's Pack and both addons and updatepack always (until now Wink ) works flawlessy with Nlite and RVMi, you could better investigate, by manually integrate Onepiece's nets in "true" mode, without using Nlite.

First of all, remember to remove in your Winnt.Sif the option "FullUnattended" and change it with "DefaultHide": this because first option hides every kind of error and go ahead even if the setup is damaged.

Extract dotent4 addon, take out netfx40.IN_ and netfx40.cab files, copy them in your CLEAN source, then open with Notepad dosnet.inf file from your source and copy the lines under [Files] section
Code:
d1,netfx40.cab
d1,netfx40.inf

then open with Notepad txtsetup.sif file from your source and copy the lines under [SourceDisksFiles] section:
Code:
netfx40.cab = 100,,,,,,_x,,3,3
netfx40.inf = 100,,,,,,,20,0,0

then search for SYSOC.IN_ , open it with Cabtool http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/topic/7702-cabtool/ as SYSOC.INF and add these lines under [Components] section
Code:
netfx40=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,netfx40.inf,,7

recab again SYSOC.INF file, make the .iso and test in a VM. If it is OK, retry the same way (not integrating the addon but manually: remember to change FullUnattended with DefaultHide in Winnt.sif) on an already tested and working source where you have already used Nlite integrating all you want except .net. Close the .iso and report test results in a VM.

If first time works and not the second one, remember to take note at T28 of what is the component/addon which breaks your integration

even if you integrate it with RVMi 1.6.1b2.1 in a surely untouched XP SP3 source without nothing else? If so, it's really odd, each of them are tested hundreds of times over different sources with Nlite and RVMi without seeing a single framedyn error, unfortunately never reproducible as always related to the single integration process and not to UpdatePack/addon itself (a long time ago we used to say "please ask in Nlite/Integrator forum..." Wink ).

If you bear with it you can try the test above suggested to AndreyPopov. Anyway thanks for your contribution but I hope you understand that it can't help us.

manualy integrate get napclient.mof not found ERROR appear during setup!!!! but framedyn error not appear after install.

winnt.sif appear ONLY if use Unantended Setup! if use regulary setup than no winnt.sif.

P.S. if use nLite nLite always add in sysoc.inf :

Yes, it's normal that napclient.mof appears if you make a manual integration, due to SP3 WBEM modifications. See also this: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6290&highlight=napclient+mof

We assumed you've used unattended setup with Nlite: if not, there's no problem at all, any error message would show during setup

I'm once again having issues with this addon.

Ever since the new update (to .1 or whatever) I get all sorts of errors after integration. Framedyn, some vbs error, I don't even know. I have a completely clean xp source with sp3 built in. I took this addon out and all of the previously stated errors went away. Not sure what the deal is, but had to remove it unfortunately from my disc.

This addon CAN'T cause framedyn errors by itself.
It has a file .inf and a file .cab: when .inf starts it copies .cab file and nothing else.
When a file is missing sysoc.inf breaks at T-28 (it could happen with Updatepacks or addon without cab archives inside and a lot of reglines to add to dosnet/txtsetup files) and you can get framedyn/srcclient errors.
But of course this is not the case of this addon: even if you integrate manually the addon in your source as described above you don't get framedyn errors.
Often the culprit is a missing or corrupted file in your source or the failure of Nite/RVMi software integration run. However we have never see such an error when using Nlite.

nonno fabio's correct. Framedyn.dll error generally occurs if file-coping occurs on installing syssetup.inf.

You should look up setuperr.log and setuplog.txt in your windows directory (for example: C:\Windows), search setuplog.txt for what you get in setuperr.log, to locate the error.

If you can't make it yourself, uploading these 2 files, they are helpful.

I try use ONLY .NET 4.0 addon integrate by nLite - recieve framedyn error.

now trying nLite unnatended variant with your settings.

ANY try integrate by nLite get error framedyn.dll

setuperr:
Code:

P.S. this is STRANGE! NETF40.IN_ after integrating by nLite do not wnat uncabing by cabtool!!!

this output expand command NETF40.IN_ after intergrating (from /i386 dir):
Code:
Q:\xp_sp2_add\Copy of Copy of WXPVOL_EN_SP3>expand netfx40.in_ netfx40.inf
Microsoft (R) File Expansion Utility  Version 5.1.2600.0
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1990-1999.  All rights reserved.

Copying netfx40.in_ to netfx40.inf.
netfx40.in_: 104040 bytes copied.

this directly from uncabbed addon:
Code:
Q:\xp_sp2_add\addons\pack_system\OnePiece_Microsoft.NET_Framework_v4.0.30320.1_T
rue_AddOn_ENU>expand netfx40.in_ netfx40.inf
Microsoft (R) File Expansion Utility  Version 5.1.2600.0
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp 1990-1999.  All rights reserved.

Expanding netfx40.in_ to netfx40.inf.
netfx40.in_: 104040 bytes expanded to 1082170 bytes, 940% increase.

P.S.P.S.
- I uncab addon
- uncab netfx40.in_ to netfx40.inf
- delete netfx40.in_
- add all to 7z addon
- integrate by nLite - NOW NO ERROR!!!!

may be problem that nLite NOT LIKE cabbed inf file more than 64k ???????

Going to try that, will report back

EDIT:

OK did what you said and now was successfully able to integrate both my home and pro cd's.

So whats the deal, what is the issue causing this then?

Some concrete logs, at last... Wink.
First compare MD5 hash of netfx40.in_ file inside the addon with the one inside updated iso. If they're different, something happened during integration. No matter file size: Nlite often cabs GBs of data but sometimes fails to cab nlite.inf file itself. I don't know the reason, it's always happened but simply retrying 1-2 more times always fixed the issue.

If the problem persists on your side and you like to integrate the addon with Nlite anyway, you could do this:
Open the addon and uncab netfx40.in_ file in netfx40.inf. Then change netfx40.in_ with netfx40.inf file inside the addon. Open entries.ini file and add this line under following section:
Code:
[i386_compress]
rvmtemp\extracted\netfx40.inf

Compress addon again and integrate.

nonno fabio

I make some investigations!!

problem not in nLite , problem in FORMAT of your(one_piece) CAB file!!!!

if try integrate your original cab addon by nLite than netfx40.in_ in i386 dir NOT WANT uncabbed!!!

if your addon uncab and again cabbing (I use cabtool from Kel's uber pack) than nLite correctly integrate your addon!!!

P.S. original cab file is 43 891 474 bytes
after uncab and again cabbing by cabtool - 43 891 532 bytes

thank you for keep helping us and happy that this works for you but I want to point out that all files have been compressed with original MS Makecab.exe expressly for maximum compatibility.
I don't know if I understand clearly but if netfx40.in_ in I386 has been corrupted during integration (different MD5 hashes of uncompressed files) obviously it will refuse to uncab.
Anyway if the real cause is that, everybody who uses this addon will have problems with Nlite while Nlite compatibility issues are reported only by few users
